Please note that since these are scanned from the Ravensbourne Library (LRC) there is minor light showing mainly on the left side. I tired preventing as much light but these were meant for ideas and sources more than copied textures.
1. This page was used as additional resources for the Funfair Swing. While it only contains one picture I would like every source possible to be used for my advantage on modelling and concepts.
2. These are some examples of blueprints, to give me an idea on how the buildings of the funfair are built. I want to work on this similar to the anatomy of the human bone sturtcure. Shame I couldn't find blueprints for the rides required.
3. These are a variety of different designs for bumper cars. While I'm playing to design my own custom vehicle for the project I want to use these for ideas, shapes, patterns and mechanics. Not pictured is the connection wire able to make the bumper cars function.
4. More designs of the bumper cars. I want to use these example to see how the audience of the funfair would react and sit on the cars, and also how to steer it.
5. Though the granite lacks the colour of the theme I was focusing on the modelling of this attractions. The most useful observation of these photos is the fact that they are showing the rides from different angles, assisting me in creating the look of the ride from all angles if necessary in the final film.
6. This is my personal favourite out of the sources. Not only do the pictures look great but the fact that there is very minimal light showing and the photos are "straight-on" for modelling benefits. Our group hasn't decided if we're going to keep it realistic or cel-shades at this time but if we choose the realism then the photo would be too small to copy the texture. These photos help in every department of the project
7. I wanted to use these as texture and modelling ideas for the bumper cars. Plenty of different images to use as support through these photos.
8. While the photo might be small I really appreciate the shot taken of the prize hut. It really fits in with the texture and shape of the rides our group has in mind. I will be going back to this picture quite a lot during modelling.
9. These are photos of the objects and gameplay events uses in the funfair hut-games. I've planned Tin Cans, Water Targets and Bottles to be used for our funfair but these photos help the positioning and set up of the game; as well as ideas for prizes.
10. These are good to be used for patterns and ideas for the textures when it comes time. Leonard is in charge of our primary textures so I hope he can use these for his advantage as well. The colour scheme is still unplanned at this time.
12. These are examples of targets in which I'm going to use as sources for the water-target funfair rides. Check the concept of the group blog to find out which rides are to be included.
13. One of the additional attractions planned include "a freak show" which I needed ideas on who to include and how to display it. While I may not use the correct people for this ride I still want it to be shown in the same way and these advertisements will be redesigned in our group's image.
14. Posters for bumper cars. Can these be used to decorate the Bumper "Kaboom Cars" attraction in texture of posters?
15. The main reason for these sources... well for me anyway is to assist the modelling stage in Maya. Sure, I can use my imaginations and concepts but I still need a realistic build up. While I might not be making the ride in the picture I can still use the structure for my advantage.
16. These are texture designs t0 be used for inspiration of the Haunted House ride. I feel happier if our group can make our own designs for this project but with these photos I can copy some of the positions of objects and what they have used.
17. Extended texture Designs. The facial expressions... what were they thinking?
18. A mixture of further haunted house texture ideas and modelling perspectives. useful typography and front logo notes.
19. Further studies of the "freak show" planning. Notice in the photos on how the stage is set out, and how the audience are paying attention. I won't copy the stage from point to point but I can use the pathwalk to be designed under our group's decision.
20. Another variety of textures for the Haunted House. This book was my lucky day.
21. I like these sources, great views on the fron of the Haunted House. I have used an idea from this to be used on most of my rides (if possible... we see if it plays out), the idea is the name of the ride held up above the enterance for the funfair's audience to see. Creating this in maya might involve text cropping and extrudings but it shouldn't be too hard, depnding on the font.
22. More Building designs, though I dont have a boxing house planned for the funfair. I guess I wasn't one he grew up on this tradition and my group would feel the same too.
23. LAST ONE! I can finally stop talking about all this rubb- and this source is to be used for the funfair minigame huts, focusing on the shape. Like the previous scanned picture I wasn't one who is familar with this funfair tradition and the idea was left out with many others included.
So these are the first of the Primary Sources for my project, while some of the rides are not planned for the project I was mainly looking at the photos shown and converting it to our group's attitude and vision. I hope to add more sources in good time so whoever is reading this (I'm looking at you... JARED!) there shall be more.
